Dear Parent and Student,

Destination Dance Is entering its third year of providing superior dance training. As always we will continue to focus on each student’s growth technically and artistically. In order to maintain the high standards of the studio and proper development as a dancer, two Ballet classes per week for Beginner Intermediate and above are required. Modern and Jazz classes may be added after the twice a week Ballet requirement is met. Also, in order to participate in Jazz or Modern classes the student must be enrolled in the appropriate level Ballet class which will be determined by the instructor. The year will culminate in a Review, not a Recital, in which each class will give a brief demonstration of their accomplishments over the year.

I would like to introduce our new ballet faculty. Karl Lindholm comes to Destination Dance from an exciting background which includes Cincinnati Ballet Company, Houston Ballet Company, The Disney Corporation, and service with the Green Berets of the US Army. He will be teaching Intermediate and Advanced Ballet classes. Pamela J. Malik—Himmelberger’s background includes training at Point Park College, member of American Dance Ensemble, The Extension and Janet Gillespie and Present Company, all Modern/Jazz and Ballet companies. She will be teaching all ballet classes through Intermediate as well as Pointe. Both of their resumes will be available at the studio for viewing.

Classes commence Tuesday, September 2nd. Registration will be held on August 23rd and 24th from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Class size is limited so registration prior to the start of classes will ensure your child’s place in the class. Registration Fee and first month tuition are due at the time of registration. Required class attire is available at Shape Shop. Please let them know what classes your child is taking and they will be able to let you know what you need to purchase. Pointe shoes may NOT be purchased until approval is given by Miss Pam.
